here's a simple arrangement idea for the 'bridge' from winter into spring...
and yes, those ARE what you think they are!
glass light globes
from old porch lights and overhead hall lights!
these are generally available at vintage lighting stores, building salvage stores,
and sometimes thrift shops for just a few dollars each
OR
OR
you can find new ones at hardware stores
[but they aren't as interesting as old ones]
you've seen them here on HOMEWARDfound before -
this season, they are serving as flower vases and vase fillers:
* a tall glass cylinder vase holds assorted round glass globes
the burlap tie hides the stems of the faux white cherry blossoms
* single glass globes serve as flower vases
simply tuck a few faux stems into the openings,
OR place a small jar filled with water inside the globe to hold real blooms.
yes, i use glass globes in my decor all year long!
here are some of the other glass globe ideas i've shared:
winter in the garden
holiday floral arrangements
pumpkins in autumn

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful display ~ and to think I got rid of all of my glass globes when I had the lighting redone in my house....kicking myself now! I love how you take the ordinary and make it extraordinary.
